We
would also like to congratulate Royalty artist, Joyce Smith, on
her induction into the Canadian Country Music Hall Of Honour. Joyce
Smith was born and raised in Alberta. Smith started out performing
on radio and television shows before joining a band and opening
up for touring acts passing through. Smith went on to have international
success in the United States while signed to MCA Nashville. Her
biggest hit was Leavin On Your Mind, which was later recorded
by Patsy Cline.

Gord
Bamford
The
nominations for the 2010 CCMA Awards were released and Gord led
the list with six nominations including the prestigious "Fans
Choice Award". He was also nominated for "Male Artist",
"Single", "Album", "CMT Video" and
"Songwriter Of The Year". The nominations came on the
heels of the release "Put Some Alcohol On It", the second
single and video from Gord's latest album "Day Job". It
was also announced that Gord will appear on the nationally televised
CCMA Award Show, airing on CBC, Sunday September 12th.

Hey
Romeo
The
nominations for the Canadian Country Music Awards were announced
and Hey Romeo received nominations for Group Of The Year, Web Site
Of The Year and Darren Gusnowsky received a nomination for Best
Guitar and Rob Shapiro for Best Keyboards. Their sophomore album
"That's What I Am" was released on June 1. The trio has
just seen recent chart success with the first single "Searchin'
For You" hitting top twenty in Canada. In 2008, Hey Romeo won
the CCMA Award for "Top New Group" and in 2009 received
a nomination for "Group Of The Year".

Marlee
Scott
Marlee
Scott also joined the CCMA nomination list with a nod for "Rising
Star". Marlee's self-titled album was released on Royalty in
2009 and she cracked the Top 30 in Canada with the single "Yesterday,
Today,and Tomorrow". She just recently performed at the Big
Valley Jamboree.

Jason
Greeley
Jason
Greeley has been active on the peformance front lately in support
of his latest single "Around for a Reason. Jason appeared
at the Calgary Stampede's Nashville North and in Camrose at the
Big Valley Jamboree. The single was co-written by the albums
producer and three time CCMA award winner Joel Feeney.

Chris
Cummings
Royalty
Records is pleased to announce that a distribution deal has been
finalized with Chris Cummings. Since the beginning of his career,
Chris Cummings has released five extraordinary studio albums, racked
up multiple hits at Canadian country radio, and had several number
one videos on CMT Canada. In addition, multiple CCMA, RPM, ECMA,
and Juno nominations as well as a Grammy nominated song recorded
by American country group Alabama. The album, "Give Me Tonight"
is scheduled for a early fall release.
