The lineup of artists for Big Hearts for Big Kids Concert Fundraiser benefiting the Sunrise House has just been released!

Deric Ruttan, Jason McCoy, Victoria Banks,
The Jeffersons, Sean Hogan, Wyatt and Tenille.

“I am so excited to have this event back in our community supporting the GPYESS,” says Event Organizer and Founder, Tenille, “And I can’t wait for everyone to hear the entertainment coming!”

“My favorite part of this event is the way that people come together with their Big Hearts to help youth at risk of homelessness. Three years ago I was inspired to start this formal concert fundraiser in honour of the Sunrise House/Grande Prairie Youth Emergency Shelter after hearing about the positive difference they make in our community and how many youth right here at home turn to it.”

Big Hearts For Big Kids is a spectacular evening of country music and entertainment on Saturday February 23rd, 2013 at the TEC Centre. This 600 ticket event will feature the musical talents of Canadian Country Music Award Winning Artists in two intimate, personal Songwriter’s Circles followed by headliner Deric Ruttan. The evening will involve appetizers, raffle items, a silent auction, and live auction in an intimate setting with amazing artists!

Headline Sponsors this year include Caron Measurement and Controls and Canadian Tire.

Over the past 3 years, the event has raised over $194,000 thanks to Grande Prairie’s incredible support. The Grande Prairie Youth Emergency Shelter has been able to help more families in need of assistance as a result of the growing awareness.

“The submissions for this year’s CCMA Songwriters’ Café were some of the strongest we’ve ever had, making it a challenge to select only 12 to perform, but we’re certain that the talent in this group is something to behold.” said Don Green, Executive Director, CCMA. “In the past, this event has conventionally been considered an industry event, however, this year the CCMA is encouraging the public to take in some of the incredible songwriting talent that is sure to take audiences and airwaves by storm.”

“SOCAN is once again very proud to sponsor the CCMA Songwriters’ Café and support the talented Canadian Country songwriters who participate year after year,” said Eric Baptiste, CEO of SOCAN. “This year’s remarkable lineup will definitely be an inspiration to all who are lucky enough to attend and witness their extraordinary talent.”

The CCMA Songwriters’ Café celebrates the crafting of original tunes and the talent behind the words, acquainting listeners to some new and familiar faces along the way. Presented by SOCAN, this three day, acoustic in-the-round show is always an inspiration to industry and fans alike. The CCMA Songwriters’ Café presents non-established artists selected by a national jury process as well as some established songwriters and features some of the best talent in the field of songwriting.
