Float On! My favorite cut on the album. Some will probably be surprised to hear it as our latest single, but Kasha and I are thrilled! This is a song that I brought to Kasha lyrically about a year and a half ago. I started to play this kind of melancholic riff over and over, and she used the words to capture a great and fitting melody. We always call this side of our band our moody side. I hope people can really feel the emotion that we captured with this song. Lightning in a bottle.

The first time I saw the lyrics Mitch had written for this song I was very touched. He sent a guitar riff that he thought was suitable to the lyrics and from that the vocal melody came quickly. The end result was a song that was pretty open to interpretation as both mine and Mitch’s views of what the song is about are different. Dreamlike, a positive spin on something that weighs so heavily in our world. One of my favorites on the album by far!
