Shane Chisholm Wins CCMA Award for “Special Instrument of the Year”.

Shane Chisholm was honoured to win the CCMA “Special Instrument of the Year” for his Gastank Bass.

The bass player, who was born in Ontario and is currently an Alberta resident, has a passion for crafting his own musical instruments. One of his most interesting pieces is an upright bass created from the gas tank of a Chevrolet Astro Minivan.

Shane performed for many years as a bass player and backup singer for Canadian artists Julian Austin, Aaron Pritchett, Gord Bamford and George Canyon. The singer/songwriter has 9 CCMA nominations to his name including nominations for Roots Artist and bass Player of the Year.
