DRINKIN’ GIRL THE BRAND NEW SINGLE FROM TRISTAN HORNCASTLE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OCTOBER 19TH, 2015
DRINKIN’ GIRL THE BRAND NEW SINGLE FROM TRISTAN HORNCASTLE OUT TODAY!
Royalty Records artist, Tristan Horncastle’s brand new single Drinkin’ Girl hits country radio and online today. This first single depicts the blossoming of a true love story that unfolded for Tristan and his fiancé when they first met. Singing from real experience, Tristan performs this song straight from the heart.
When you hear a Tristan Horncastle song, whether it’s the Friday night anthem “She Brings The Beer” or the yearning “You Want,” you’re hearing his life. With the Canadian radio success of his Top 5 selling debut album A Little Bit Of Alright having established Horncastle as an undeniable breakout artist, he’s eager to share more of his life on his brand new single, “Drinkin’ Girl,” a taste of his next album, Turnin’ Up A Sundown, due out in February 2016.
“Today is the release of my new single “Drinkin Girl”. Releasing my first single, was pretty exciting, but I’m even more pumped about this one! This was one of my favourite songs to write and I am super happy with the outcome. It says so much and it’s how I met my fiancé. Some believe in love at first sight, some don’t. I never did, but I do now. Hope you enjoy!”
Since releasing his first EP in 2011, the Fredericton, New Brunswick native has shared stages with the likes of Travis Tritt, Dean Brody, Joe Diffie and Leann Rimes. Horncastle’s hard work and dedication culminated in 2015 with a nomination in the Canadian Country Music Association Awards’ Rising Star category and Canadian Radio Music Award nomination for Best New Group of Solo Artist in the Country category and most recently 3 Wins at Prix Music NB Awards for Album of the Year, Country Artist of the Year and Fans’ Choice.
Along with that recognition, Tristan Horncastle’s honest songwriting and down-to-earth personality has him poised to make an indelible mark on the country music scene.

NEW COUNTRY DUET FROM AMY METCALFE FT. TRISTAN HORNCASTLE
“Whiskey Won’t Fix Me”
Produced by: Aaron Goodvin, Bart Butler & Tristan Horncastle
“I started to write this song at Big Valley Jamboree, on my walk towards the outhouses (true story). As I was on my walk, I passed through and by a lot of campsites. So many people were a mess. I’m all for having a good time, but you can always tell the difference between people that party for fun and people that try to disappear for a few days. I wrote the lyrics on my leg with a pen, or rather scratched them on, as the pen wasn’t working. I sang the Whis-key won’t fix-me over and over, so I wouldn’t forget. My friends probably thought I was in space, because I was kind of out of it the whole weekend. I was in a writing trance. I had written a few more lyrics to the chorus like “rum leaves me numb”. But I could just tell it wasn’t becoming what it should.
When I was in Nashville, I took the song to the magical Byron Hill (George Strait, Gary Allen, Gord Bamford) and I played him the chorus I had. He changed my second sub par line and added a better one and then we began to write the verses. We wrote the song in about 45 minutes and I knew it was done! Man he’s good. The song ended up lighter, cute and just a feel good song. Now after we wrote it, I thought to myself, this needs to be a duet, who’s a down to earth, rich voiced country singer that can give the song what I’m envisioning. Tristan Horncastle, that’s who. He sent me a voice memo of him singing it acoustically and I knew it was going to be something great. He did such a great job on this track. We recorded it in Nashville with producers Aaron Goodvin, Bart Butler and engineered by Julian King, who has engineered for artists like Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill’s smash “Breathe” and MANY more. Aaron and Bart brought this song one step further, they delivered such a radio, patio, pontoon friendly jam along song.
For some reason you don’t see a lot of collaborations in Canadian Country Music and I’m so excited to change that”. -Amy Metcalfe
“First listening to the song I was struck by how well written it is….it all begins with that! The second part is the simplicity in the recording that makes the two of you shine as artists. Seeya on the charts!” – Ralph Murphy – ASCAP Nashville
“Two minutes and forty-one seconds of 100 Proof Magic! Everything about it sounds like a BIG hit.” – Byron Hill – Songwriter/Producer/Musician
A great Country duet song about “ Drinkin up the one you Love”… I love it. – Duane Steele – Singer/Songwriter
“I love it! Seriously, it sounds great and I love the tempo and lyrics…. Their voices work really well together.“- Christie Armstrong – Sakamoto Entertainment

“I’m very excited about Recreation Land! I wrote this in Nashville with #1 hit writer, Bart Butler and Aaron Goodvin. We all love and enjoy our free time, therefore wanted to write a fun song that talks about those weekends and nights that we take the gun out for some target practice, four wheeling, back road drives, getting dirty, having that cold one after a long week of work, and just living life to the fullest. It’s just an all around fun song. I hope you all enjoy!”

BRAND NEW ALBUM FROM TRISTAN HORNCASTLE OUT TODAY!
Tristan Horncastle kicked off 2014 with signing to Royalty Records, where his first single and album title track “A Little Bit of Alright” climbed the Canadian country music charts peaking at #33 on Mediabase.
Tristan’s new album coming out on May 27th, 2014 will be the first release through Royalty’s new agency/distribution agreement with Sony Music Entertainment Canada.
Tristan played co-producer, alongside Bart Butler and co-writer on many tracks on this record, which also includes the new single “That Was Before” released lastweek to country radio. Canadian born and Nashville based Aaron Goodvin is head producer on this record and includes many songwriting credits.
It’s here, my first full debut album, “A little Bit Of Alright”. I’m soooo excited!
I am so thankful and proud to be a Canadian, and from New Brunswick at that! We have amazing fans here, without them, Canadian country radio, and organizations like the CCMA’s, this would all not be possible!
This album is very dynamic, and has a little something from me for everyone! I think my new single release “That Was Before“, along with my first single that topped at #33 on the Canadian country charts, “A Little Bit Of Alright“, will draw you into the album!
I’m so proud to be a part of Royalty Records Inc. Thanks Canada! – Tristan Horncastle
Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, growing up in a small community Tristan’s life, personal experiences and strong family values would inevitably find themselves embedded in some of his songwriting.
Tristan has grown up with the musical influences and aspirations of one day following in the footsteps of his idols Alan Jackson, Waylon Jennings and Brooks and Dunn.
Tristan, along with his band, have performed with some of the biggest names in country music such as The Stampeders, Confederate Railroad, Dean Brody, George Canyon, Jimmy Rankin and most recently with Travis Tritt.
