“Bri Anne Michelle walked in to the room while I was Mastering the new Amy Metcalfe record and asked if this was the new Faith Hill album, nice work Amy Metcalfe” – John Greenham at Infrasonic Sound Mastering studio – 1176 Sunset BLVD, Los Angeles California
Throughout your life people come and go. Some step into your world for a long time , some for a short time. But every once in a while time doesn’t seem to play a role at all, it doesn’t matter how long you knew someone or what you did together, they just stick with you. And the memories and moments you shared seem to last longer than your time with them every did. You’re changed … and the forecast said forever.  – Amy Metcalfe

Hey Romeo’s New Album “Twist of Fate” NOW In Stores & Available Online!

CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARD WINNERS HEY ROMEO

SET TO RELEASE THIRD STUDIO ALBUM

TWIST OF FATE OUT JUNE 26, 2012

Toronto, ON – 2011 Group of the Year (CCMA) winners Hey Romeo are set to release their third studio album, Twist of Fate (Royalty Records) on Tuesday June 26, 2012. Hey Romeo consists of Stacie Roper (vocals), Rob Shapiro (keyboard / vocals) and Darren Gusnowsky (guitar / vocals). Largely recorded at Calgary’s MCC Studios, the new record features 12 songs including the first single, “Jump Back In,” that was serviced to radio on May 3. The accompanying video premiered on CMT on June 12th, 2012. Full track listing below.

“We are really excited about the release of our new album, Twist of Fate,” says Stacie Roper. “We have worked really hard to give our friends, family and fans something that showcases what we as a band are all about. We wrote the songs for this album with some of our favorite writers such as Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Victoria Banks, Roger Brown and of course Byron Hill. We are looking forward to crossing Canada once again to play our new music for our fans. Thank you to everyone who is a country music listener. We couldn’t do this without you!”

Written over the course of 2011 while the band toured across Canada, Twist of Fate was influenced by a variety of musical styles including country, folk and rock. The album was co-produced by Hey Romeo and Byron Hill (Gary Allan, Gord Bamford) and includes performances by A-list session players Jimmy Carter (bass – Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley), Paul Scholten (drums – Brooks and Dunn, Randy Travis), Mike Johnson (pedal steel player – Faith Hill, Brad Paisley) and Glenn Duncan (multi-instrumentalist – Waylon Jennings, George Jones, The Chieftains).Over the span of their career, Hey Romeo have performed alongside legendary country acts including Sugarland and Johnny Reid, making a name for themselves within the Canadian country music industry.

Most recently, they joined country icon Gord Bamford on select dates during his cross-Canada tour and hosted the first annual Alberta Country Music Awards at Westerner Park in Red Deer. 2011 was particularly memorable for the band, garnering the win for Group of the Year at the 2011 CCMA Awards and keyboardist Rob Shapiro received an All-Star Band Award for Keyboard Player of the Year for the third year running.

Hey Romeo’s 2010 sophomore album, That’s What I Am, sparked five hit singles including “Searchin’ For You,” which went Top 20 on both the Mediabase and BDS charts, and “That’s What I Am” peaking at #13 on the Billboard Canada Emerging Artist chart. A year after the release of their debut album, the band took home a 2008 CCMA Award for Top New Group of the Year.

This summer Hey Romeo will support the release by playing various dates across the country.
