Toronto, Canada. CCMA Nominee Tenille entered her Junior-High school social studies class a few years ago, where politics and the plight in Afghanistan were topics of discussion. The experience resonated with the artist and inspired her to write HOME NOW – a young girl’s thoughts about her father serving overseas.
In time for Remembrance Day, HOME NOW, featuring Juno Nominee and multi award winner John Landry — also a Canadian Air Force pilot — is being released with a portion of each digital download from itunes supporting, Wounded Warriors.ca, a not for profit registered Canadian charity that assists Canadian Forces members who have suffered visible and non visible injuries.
“We are constantly approached to have artists and their music align with us,” said Captain Wayne Johnston, founder of Wounded Warriors.ca, “and for various reasons the requests are turned down. When we were approached about Tenille, and the background of how HOME NOW was written, we listened. Here is a young Canadian student that was impacted by the current events of the world and translated that into a song; and that song is very real for all of us that have served. Tenille’s initiative in supporting Wounded Warriors through the sale of each itune download is to her credit. We are honoured to be working with her.”

KATIE MISSION SET TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE IN EARLY 2012!
A new single will be coming from Katie early in the New Year. While her first single “When’s The Weddin” didn’t make the national charts, the song opened the eyes and ears to radio programmers as to what a unique talent she is. Katie wowed the audience at the CCMA Royalty party in early September and will be travelling to more Canadian markets this fall promoting the upcoming album. The album was produced by CCMA’s 2006 Producer of the Year winner Gil Grand and hot Nashville tunesmith Anthony Smith.
THE JEFFERSONS – VOL. 1
An album not to be overlooked is “The Jeffersons – Vol. 1” the new album by Canadian award winning vocalist Lisa Brokop and her husband Paul Jefferson. Lisa has been a top hit maker in Canada for most of her life. Paul is a talented singer songwriter who has written hits for Keith Urban, Little Texas, and Aaron Tippin.

SHANE CHISHOLM JOINS ROYALTY RECORDS
Royalty is pleased to announce that Shane Chisholm has joined the Royalty group of artists. The 3-time CCMA Award winner has become a tour de force, performing around the globe sharing his passion for music. Shane’s sophomore album “No One Came” will be released in early 2012. The album includes eight Chisholm originals plus “Walk This Way”, “This Flight Tonight”, and “Chattahoochie”, three covers with a Shane Chishom “twist”.

“CCMA Group of the Year” – our congrats to Hey Romeo on winning this award. In what might be considered an upset win, it also serves as a testament to the work ethic, career path chosen, and the relationships the band has developed over their ten year career. “We are all just so shocked and excited by this amazing win and to have been in the same category alongside such talented artists was such an honour.” Group member Rob Shapiro said.
TENILLE NOMINATED FOR CCMA "FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR"
Our congrats to Tenille on her CCMA nomination as “Female Artist of the Year”. It is believed she is the youngest artist to be nominated for a major CCMA Award. THE ORCHARD KICK OFF 2012 WITH THEIR 1ST SINGLE RELEASE
The Orchard is Kasha Anne (Vocals) and Mitch Smith (Guitars/Backing Vocals). They kick off 2012 with the release of their first single “Stick to Your Guns” written by Brad & Marylynne Stella (The Stellas). Their debut EP available soon only on iTunes is “Southern Ground” which showcases the duo’s diversity and influences as well as their own writing ability. Influenced by everyone from Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood to The Zac Brown Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Orchard has found a sound that is refreshing, honest and genuine.
