2012 CCMA AWARD WINNERS HEY ROMEO SIGN EXCLUSIVE BOOKING DEAL WITH

INVICTUS ENTERTAINMENT GROUP

Toronto, ON – Canadian Country Music Association Award winners Hey Romeo announce the signing of their exclusive booking deal with Jim Cressman and Invictus Entertainment Group. With the reputation as one of Canada’s hardest working country bands, Hey Romeo joins a roster at Invictus that includes Terri Clark, George Canyon, Emerson Drive and more. The trio’s current single, “Maybe You Remember Me Now,” off their third studio album, Twist Of Fate, is climbing the country charts entering the Top 30 on Mediabase this week. Signed to Royalty Records, Hey Romeo consists of Stacie Roper (vocals), Darren Gusnowsky (guitar) and Rob Shapiro (keyboards).

“Royalty is thrilled to have Jim Cressman and his team at Invictus sign Hey Romeo to their roster,” says Rob Smith, President / CEO of Royalty Records. “Jim has been a long time supporter of the band and we at Royalty would like to thank him for his belief in Hey Romeo.” Rob Shapiro, keyboardist for Hey Romeo continues, “We have great respect for Jim and his amazing team and are all excited to be a part of the Invictus family.” Cressman, President of Invictus Entertainment group, adds, “I admire this band for their perseverance and their work ethic. Glad to have them as part of our elite team of clients.”

Following the release of Twist of Fate, Hey Romeo took home Group or Duo of the Year at the 2012 CCMA Awards, an award they also won in 2011. Additionally, they received nominations for Fans’ Choice Award and Interactive Artist of the Year. The group joined country icon Gord Bamford on select dates during his 2012 cross-Canada tour and hosted the first annual Alberta Country Music Awards at Westerner Park in Red Deer. Known for spending much of their career on the road, Hey Romeo has shared the stage with artists including Sugarland, Darius Rucker, Johnny Reid and Marty Stuart.

In 2010, Hey Romeo’s sophomore album,That’s What I Am, sparked five hit singles including “Searchin’ For You,” which went Top 20 on both the Mediabase and BDS charts, and “That’s What I Am” which peaked at #13 on the Billboard Canada Emerging Artist chart. A year after the release of their debut album, the band’s perseverance paid off when they took home a 2008 CCMA Award for Top New Group of the Year.
